When looking to contract with the federal government in order to brighten your firm’s business development potential, your best move(s) are to either get 8(a) certified or get on GSA Schedule. Better yet, going after them simultaneously is advantageous from a standpoint that much of the applications have similar requests and requirements, resulting in a significant cost savings when combining those efforts. Each year, Washington Technology publishes the list of the “Fast 50”, and the 2019 results once again showed how important a GSA Schedule is for firms wanting to be successful in the federal marketplace. The Fastest 50 are the firms that are the fastest growing in the Federal IT space.

Fastest 50 GSA Results:   
1.  Of the 50 firms, 41 or 82% (up from 70% in 2018) are GSA Schedule Holders. 
2.  36% of these firms 18/50 have multiple GSA Schedules.  
3.  Growth rate for these firms was 94%.  
4.  Collectively these firms went from $700MM in sales in one year to 1.35B.
