There are approximately 20 million Veterans in the United States, and just under 25% or 4.7MM Veterans have a Service Connected Disability. At last count, there are roughly 26,300 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms registered to do business with the federal government. Therefore, approximately 1 in 200 Service-Disabled Veterans take advantage of this certification to grow a business.
Current Trends
Over the past three years, the Federal Government has greatly increased the workload of Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. See table below:

SDVOSB Growth
Veteran and SDVOSB annual sales growth past two years. (Non-compounded)
There is ample opportunity for more SDVOSB Certified firms to take advantage of this program. In 2020, the average SDVOSB firm had approximately $1MM in federal contracts.
The robust growth for SDVOSB firms makes this verification more valuable to holders. If you would like to go over the qualifications for the SDVOSB Certification, or how to market an existing SDVOSB, I always recommend contacting an industry expert such as ez8a, Advance 8a or Government Marketing. None of them charge a fee for an initial phone consultation.
